Costa- Volunteering
This weekend we had a different experience. On Saturday I went to a volunteer work with other friends at City Harvest' Mobile Market (Brooklyn). When we arrived there we saw a big line with a lot of people waiting for that help. I started my work a little said to remember that many people live with no food, no home and no hopes for tomorrow, but I was there to help. During my work with oranges and potatoes I began to though how important is this kind of work for people who are waiting for help, and how important it is to myself and others volunteers and I though about my country and my students too. Sometimes with simple things we can help someone or some families. Maybe with food, work or a word. In that morning we saw young and old people, men and women giving their best to make it work. We talk with volunteers from United States and from Peru and we were working together to prove that it is possible to work in Brazil with our students, heir families and communities that is waiting for our help.
