Post 2 - Xavier

This week was marvelous. We visited the New York Public Library. It`s fantastic. How many books and history!!! I loved it! I think I`ve been learning a lot here, this experience is very good for anybody, specially, for English teachers in Brasil. Because of the cold, I didn`t visit many places in this week, but I walked so much around the city and I love everything.
About the classes in college, I`m very happy with my teacher Ann Marie. I think all teachers in St. John`s University (PDPI) are great, but, mainly, our coordinator Aaron Royer, who is very polite, attentive and gracious with everybody. I`m glad and grateful to them!!
Sincerely,
Alice

Hi,everybody!
I am here to share another great experience I had in Manhattan. Last Friday (01/17) we went to visit The New York Public Library. It is an old and beautiful building. It really admired me how big that building is and no doubts I`ve never been to a library like that before. There you can find from children's books to old maps. And it was precisely in the maps room that I was more excited. Guess what? The picture below shows you:

I don't have words to describe what I felt in that moment. It was very significant to see the map of my country as old and at the same time as well maintained. In the library there was a friendly lady named Ms Ellen. She did a tour with us showing different rooms and explained about the history of the library. It was a fantastic visit! So, if you plan to come to New York you must visit this library.

A speechless feeling, that is all I can write here so far. You know, For the first time in my whole life I can see the snow coming from the sky down to my face, What could be just seen by television, now It is real and at the same time it is unbelievable, breathtaking. An amazing experience!!!!! I will never forget this moment.

Snow....you're beautiful!!!!

Today was a special day. I woke up early, dressed myself in order to go to the university, but I knew that the day will be different. Why? Because there was a snow forecast and I was waiting for That for a long time. In fact, it was more exciting and beautiful that I was expected it to be . I almost cried when I felt snow in my face and my body.

Actually, the cold has been intense, but temporary, so I want to live every moment with happiness and gratefulness because later I’ll have only memories. I am grateful to the Lord because only He makes dreams come true.

Today was the most different day of all, since I've arrived in NYC. For the first time in my life I saw the snow. What a fantastic view! I've never seen a snowy day in my entire life, only in my English book, when the lesson was about the seasons. So, from now on, I' ll be more secure when teaching the seasons to my students in my English classes.
h classes.

- Times Square Everywhere . . .

What rushy world is this ?
High buildings everywhere
Smashing my calm and care
Evolking me through hidden bliss

It seems like eyes without a face insomuch
They face me on me in flush
And I face the never ending odd ads around me
What could my eyes get all I see ?
