Hy guys! My name's Marlon de Vasconcelos. My stay in New York's been getting me through an unknown atmosphere. It's like a film put on every corner around here. Bit by bit I seek for keeping the right train in order to arrive at St John's University.
So, I love poems mainly the ones that evokes sounds between the lineS. I've been into poetry issues for a long time. I've decided to post this one to stir readers' mind and value the sounds produced by the lines...
LOSS
One day I begged you to stay
To Kiss me into the deep sea all day.
I’d cross all distance beyond this shore
To lick your lips more and more.
You are the only one who keeps me high;
My eyes haven’t seen such a perfect sky.
From your window I threw flowers,
Now I fly around the lonely towers,
Among shadows and crazy bats,
From here my eyes shake grey cats.
Nothing cares the plight I’ve endured;
My endless solitude.
From our bed I hear the white waves
To which we were kept like slaves.
Your picture still floods my brain
So your love will be my eternal chain,
After we’ve done,
After you’ve gone.

Very interesting, Marlon. Check out the Poet's House, which is located close to our campus: http://www.poetshouse.org/about.htm. They hold a lot of events related to poetry.
