Post 3 - Souza

Hi!
Today morning I chose a very special place for sharing some information about it with you. I know some Brazilian teachers have been there, but who hasn’t gone there, please, don’t miss it!  It is the Statue of Liberty in Statue Island., a gift from French people to Americans for celebrating freedom and democracy.  You have three different options for visiting it!
First, you can take a red line of Metro to South Ferry Station that is at Battery Park, take a Ferry to Statue Island, there is a public one. Arriving at the Statue Park you can walk along the Island, take some pictures, and admire the wonderful sightseeing of Manhattan Island and the statue.
Second, you can buy a ticket  for 18, visit the pedestal of the Statue and the museum of the Statue that shows some detailed information about the transportation, project and uplifting of the Statue. When you are going back to New York, the Ferry stops in a special Island, Ellis Island, for visiting  the Immigration Museum. I have learned a lot about immigration in the USA!!!
Third, I think it is an amazing one, it is visiting the crown of the Statue, but for visiting it, you should buy a ticket for 28 in advance because only four people can stay at the place at a time. . Ah!!! Don’t forget that you have to be in good physical condition, you are supposed to walk up about 355 stair treads. There is no elevator inside the Statue.
Obtain knowledge and culture visiting traditional places in New York!!
