It`s a memorial and a museum where were the towers of the World Trade Center in New York, United States, destroyed in the September 11, 2001 attacks. It`s a place to reflect and think about the suffering of the families who lost their relatives in that tragedy that the whole world watched on television and all means of communication. Opened in 2011, Memorial of 11 September welcomes thousands of visitors from around the world. It consists of two giant pools surrounded by trees, located at the exact place where the Twin Towers were destroyed in the attacks.
