Post 3

  1.       On Jan. 1 we visited St. Paul's Chapel. It was built in 1766 and has witnessed the unfolding history of New York City  and the nation with the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. It brought together thousands of people of every nationality , race and religion to provide care and solace to the recovery workers at Ground Zero.

In Sep. 2002, NY City was given the Bell of Hope by the Lord Mayor of the city of London. It stands in St. Paul's churchyard facing the World Trade Center site and is rung annually on Sep. 11.

Inside the Chapel we could see a lot of belongings from those whose lives were tragically affected on that day.

  1.          After that we went to the 11th Sep. Memorial. It was a sad but amazing experience. We could watch some films inside the museum and feel 1 millionth part of the feeling those who lost their beloved ones felt on that fateful day.
