Sinval - volunteering

Visiting City Harvest's Mobile Market was a valuable experience for me, because every time you do something to help someone, without charging anything or even receiving money or a gift, you feel useful and responsible for someone's happiness.

From volunteering a person can learn how to be generous and love an unknown person without creating any financial expectation. It is also a good moment to reflect about your own conditions, because it could be you, needing a help.

Volunteering work included in the PDPI program is, in fact, an excellent extra- activity, not only because the members develop a brotherly spirit and love of neighbor, but also to expand the target language through experience in loco: lecture, procedure explanation, and integration with other volunteering workers.

I have experienced volunteering with my students in an English course I work at. Every year the institution promotes a cultural Saturday: dance, song, and theater. The entrance ticket is a food donation. I think that, instead of staying at home, doing nothing and feeling depression, why not volunteering?
