My experience at the City Harvest’s Market was
grateful and it gave me a kind of excitement, even though I’ve already done
volunteering in my city, I had no idea how it would be here in New York. There
I felt myself privileged, because it was a way to give back a little bit of the
amazing things I’ve received from US Government/St John’s University through
PDPI program. At the same time, I had an amazing opportunity of practicing the
language with native and nonnative speakers. This kind of activity is important
once we have to face a real situation. Things there went fast, we had to think,
act and react quickly, because people were hurry… by the end I gained more than
I give!
